Book Trading at Brused Books

** 11AM-4PM Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday **

We buy a wide variety of fiction and non-fiction, hardcovers and paperbacks, but are very picky. Please do not bring us books that are worn, marked up, water-damaged, dirty, smoky, or with loose or breaking spines. We only accept books in very good condition. It is best to call beforehand (334-7898) if you have more than 3 boxes. In special cases (estates/rooms full of books) a buyer may be able to visit your collection.

We never take ex-library books, Reader’s Digest condensed books, early Harlequin romances, encyclopedias, National Geographic magazines, books on cassette, or books with the condition problems listed above. We take some textbooks (2020 or newer), but rarely take hardcover popular fiction, magazines, or older books in areas such as health, computers, psychology, and finance.

We do not serve as a disposal service for the books we cannot use. We will not give credit or cash for the books we agree to buy/trade until you remove the books we do not buy. We will offer you a choice of store credit or cash or a combination for the books which we can use. Cash payments will be less than credit. Credit will be held for one year. Books we do not accept must be picked up within 24 hours to receive full credit or cash. We are not responsible for books left unclaimed for more than 48 hours.

We are not a dumping site for unwanted books. Books may be recycled at the Moscow Recycling Center, Goodwill (on the Moscow-Pullman Highway, or at the Pullman Grand St drop-off location, at Palouse Treasures (on Nye Street behind Rosauer’s Grocery) and at other local thrift stores. Area libraries may also accept donations.
